Definition of Etiquette:

Personal conduct or behavior (good manners and civility) as evaluated by an accepted standard of appropriateness for a social or professional setting…

From historical, sociological and philosophical points of view, manners and civility have been defined and interpreted in many ways. No matter how you define etiquette, it is important in so many ways and on so many levels.  As private citizens, professionals, and students of a multicultural nation, we all have a need and vested interest in gaining a better understanding of decorum.  Civility not only demonstrates our sensitivity and respect for others, but also creates harmony in our relationships and in our lives.
